A healthy marriage is like a garden that takes care, attention and investment. There’s potential for great beauty and flourishing, but also for great pain and disappointment.
“Building a Safe and Strong Marriage” is a course that is designed to create a space for some of this deep investment to take place, as well as to equip couples with tools that will enable them to continue to invest in growing their marriage so that both spouses can feel safe, loved and well connected and be able be a blessing to one another and to those around them.
The course combines the Biblical vision for marriage and Biblical wisdom for relationships, with secular research that helps couples practically identify and address helpful and unhelpful patterns in their relationship. It is delivered from a Christian perspective yet it’s content can be beneficial for people from all walks of life.
You can view a preview of the course here:
The course is delivered over 5 sessions made up primarily of video content, interspersed with opportunities for individual reflection and discussion with your spouse. (You won’t be asked to discuss anything personal with anyone except your spouse). It’s insightful, often fun and light-hearted and incredibly helpful for growing closer and stronger together.
The five sessions will be delivered over two days – consecutive Saturdays – at Plenty Valley Christian College. Morning and afternoon teas are provided and you can chose a catered lunch or BYO for the budget conscious.
The second day finishes with a late lunch which you could either eat on site or go for a date at a local cafe! Details about pricing and catering options are available on the rego page. Prices range from $58-80 per couple for the whole course depending on your choice of catering.
